Privacy and cookies
We sell wine, not data. This page says what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
Who is responsible

What we collect, and why
- For an order: your name, delivery and billing addresses, email address and phone number. We use them to prepare the order, ship it, issue the invoice and answer you. The legal basis is the sales contract.
- For payment: your card details are entered with PayPlug, our payment provider. We never see or store the card number.
- For legal age: we ask you to declare that you are of legal drinking age. We keep that declaration, not your date of birth.
- For news from the estate: your email address, only if you ticked the box. Every message lets you unsubscribe.
- For the shop opening alert: the email address you left us, used for that single message.
- For a message sent from the Contact page: what you write there, for as long as it takes to answer.
Who receives them
Those who need them to fulfil your order, and no one else: PayPlug for payment, the carrier for delivery (name, address, phone number), o2switch, which hosts the site in France, Guiltek, our web provider, which hosts our Matomo audience measurement tool in France, and Gcore (Luxembourg), whose network delivers the site's images, style sheets and scripts and therefore sees your IP address, as any server you visit does. We do not sell or rent any data, and we pass none to any advertising network.
For how long
- Orders and invoices: ten years, as French commercial law requires for accounting records.
- Customer account: for as long as it is open. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
- News from the estate: until you unsubscribe.
- Opening alert: deleted within a month of the sale opening.
Your rights
You can access your data, have it corrected or erased, ask for a copy, and object to its use or have it restricted. Write to contact@gojirawine.com: we answer within one month. You can also edit your details yourself from your account. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may contact the French data protection authority, the CNIL, www.cnil.fr.
Cookies
Without your agreement, we only set the cookies the shop needs in order to work. They do not require your consent, and none of them follows you from one site to another.
- Session and cart (PrestaShop, PHPSESSID): your cart, your login, your declaration of legal age at checkout. Twenty days at most.
- Language (gjw_lang): the French or English you chose. One year.
- Age (gjw_age): your answer at the entry gate. One year.
- Queue (gjw_qt, gjw_qn, gjw_pass): your place on busy evenings. Six hours.
- Cookie choice (gjw_cc): what you answered to the banner. Six months.
Audience measurement: we count visits with Matomo, hosted in France by Guiltek, our web provider, to see which pages are read. Without your agreement, measurement is anonymous and sets no cookie. If you accept, Matomo sets three cookies: _pk_id (13 months), _pk_ses (30 minutes) and mtm_cookie_consent, which remembers your agreement (13 months). These statistics are for our use only and are shared with no one. We use no advertising tool. You can change your mind at any time: change my choice.
