Frequently asked questions

When will I receive my order?
Orders are prepared in order of arrival, as fast as we can: at the opening they arrive many at once, and each takes its turn. Once the parcel is handed to the carrier, transit takes 2 to 3 working days in France and 4 to 10 working days elsewhere in Europe, depending on the country. You receive a message when it ships.
How do you keep the wine without a wine cellar?
Our wines are made in the most living way we can, with no aggressive filtration and no pasteurisation. They deserve some care: store the bottles lying down, in the dark, at a cool to moderate temperature, not too damp, and above all away from sudden changes of temperature.
How long will they keep?
These wines are ready to drink, but they will keep in the cellar for another two to three years.
What is the ideal serving temperature?
Liquid Fire red: 61 to 64°F (16 to 18°C). Liquid Fire white: 50 to 55°F (10 to 13°C).
What is the alcohol content?
Liquid Fire red, 14.5% vol. Liquid Fire white, 13.5% vol.
Should the wine be decanted?
It is not necessary, the wines are at their peak. You may still decant the red carefully, to leave behind the sediment that can settle at the bottom of the bottle. That sediment is natural: it is the sign of a wine ageing normally.
Why does the cork feel fragile?
The corks on the red are top-grade natural cork: the material allows the micro-breathing that bottle ageing needs. Open in two stages. Drive the corkscrew halfway in, draw that half out of the neck, then turn a few more times before pulling the cork.
Are the wines organic? Vegan?
The 2018 vintage is the first grown entirely according to organic farming principles. The 2023 white is certified. Our wines contain no additive of animal origin.
Are the bottles really numbered?
Yes, every one: 5,000 bottles and 200 magnums for the 2018 red, 2,200 bottles for the 2023 white. Run numbers are assigned when the order is packed, in stock order. They appear on the back label of every flask. The number cannot be chosen and there is nothing to ask for: every bottle bought from the estate carries one. The run is closed.
